How are awards decided?

Do I receive a certificate?

Every delegate who attends receives a verified digital certificate with a unique ID and QR code, downloadable from your portal and verifiable by anyone you share it with.

How are committees allocated?

You rank up to three committee preferences during registration. Allocations balance your preferences, stated experience level and the strength of your motivation statement. Most delegates receive their first or second choice.

Which committee should I choose as a beginner?

ECOSOC, UNEA and CSW are designed for first-time delegates: rules of procedure are taught in session and the executive boards prioritise skill development. Avoid the ICJ and the crisis committee for a first conference.

When do I receive my country allocation?

Country allocations are published in your applicant portal after your place is confirmed, typically three to four weeks before the conference. You are notified by email as soon as it is available.

What does it cost?

The individual delegate fee is ₹2,500. Institutional delegations pay ₹2,200 per delegate. The fee covers all sessions, materials, lunches and refreshments across the three days, plus your certificate.

Payment is requested only after your application is accepted. You will receive instructions by email, and the details also appear in your applicant portal. Your place is confirmed once payment is verified.

Do you offer financial assistance?

A limited number of fee waivers are available for delegates who would otherwise be unable to attend. Write to the secretariat with a brief statement of need after you submit your application.

What should I wear?

Western business attire or formal national dress is required throughout committee sessions and ceremonies. The delegate social is smart casual.

Is accommodation provided?

Accommodation is not included in the fee. Recommended hotels at a range of price points are listed on the venue page, several offering group rates for delegations. Indicate your interest during registration and we will share details.

Lunch and refreshments are provided on all three days. Dietary requirements noted during registration are catered for — please be specific about allergies.

What is a position paper?

A one to two page statement of your country’s position on the committee agenda, covering the background, your state’s policy and your proposed solutions. Guidance and a template are provided in the portal, and position papers are eligible for their own award.

Are background guides provided?

Yes. Every committee publishes a full background guide covering the agenda, historical context, key questions and further reading. Guides are available from your portal as soon as you are allocated.

Is there any training before the conference?

Preparatory workshops covering rules of procedure, negotiation, caucusing and resolution drafting are included for every delegate and run online in the weeks before the conference.

Who can apply to attend?

Delegate applications are open to students and early-career participants aged 13 to 25. You do not need previous Model UN experience — several committees are designed specifically for first-time delegates.

How do I apply?

Create an account, then complete the seven-step application form. Your progress saves automatically at every step, so you can return and finish later. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Can my school register as a group?

Yes. Use the delegation registration form to register your whole institution in one submission. The team leader can then manage the delegate roster from the team portal until allocations are made.

Applications close on 20 October 2026, or earlier if the conference reaches capacity. Committees fill at different rates, so applying early improves your chance of a preferred allocation.
